After its first participation in FP6, RTDS was the No.1 Austrian SME in FP7 with 15 projects, acting as coordinator in three.
In Horizon 2020, RTDS participates in 10 projects, coordinating five and managing DEC in eight. Currently, RTDS is the only EU funding consultant in Austria to coordinate three Bio-Based Industries (BBI) projects.

RTDS has its roots in the bio/circular economy and information technologies, bringing together innovative companies and researchers with the aim to be climate neutral by 2050. Increasing access to biomass to supply value chains remains an important EU initiative.
